Why We Built StartupBoost

July 19, 2026

If you've ever built something from scratch, you know that building the product is only the beginning.

The harder part is getting people to notice it.

Over the past few years, I've spent countless hours exploring startups—trying new products, reading founder stories, following launch announcements, and watching small ideas grow into successful companies.

One thing became increasingly clear.

There are far more great startups than most people will ever discover.

Great Products Don't Always Get Seen

The internet has made it easier than ever to build a company.

A small team—or even a solo founder—can launch a product used by thousands of people around the world.

But discovery hasn't kept up.

Every day, hundreds of startups launch. Many solve real problems. Some are technically brilliant. Others are beautifully designed.

Yet most of them never reach the audience they deserve.

Not because they're bad.

Simply because people never find them.

Discovery Feels Broken

When I want to discover interesting startups, I usually end up visiting multiple websites, scrolling through social media, reading newsletters, or relying on recommendations from friends.

There's no shortage of information.

There's a shortage of organization.

Finding startups shouldn't feel like searching for hidden gems buried across dozens of platforms.

I wanted a place where discovering innovative companies could be as enjoyable as discovering a great book or a great movie.

It Started with AI

This journey actually began with AI Tool Boost.

While building a discovery platform for AI products, I had the opportunity to learn how founders present their products, how users evaluate software, and how difficult it is for new companies to earn visibility.

I also realized something important.

People aren't only interested in products.

They're interested in the people behind them.

They want to know who's building them, why they exist, how they're growing, and what problems they're solving.

That realization sparked the idea for StartupBoost.

More Than a Startup Directory

StartupBoost isn't meant to be another long list of company names.

The vision is much bigger.

I want to create a place where founders can tell their stories, startups can showcase what they're building, and people can discover innovative companies before they become household names.

A place where curiosity is rewarded.

Where promising startups don't disappear simply because they lacked a marketing budget.

And where discovering what's next becomes part of the experience.

Building for the Long Term

StartupBoost is still in its early days.

Like every startup, it'll evolve over time.

Some ideas will work.

Others won't.

We'll keep listening, experimenting, and improving as we learn from founders, investors, early adopters, and the broader startup community.

The goal isn't to build the biggest startup platform.

It's to build one that's genuinely useful.

Why "Boost"?

The name reflects something I believe every founder deserves.

A boost.

Sometimes the difference between success and obscurity isn't the quality of the product—it's whether the right person discovers it at the right time.

If StartupBoost can help create even a few of those moments, it'll be worth building.

Looking Ahead

There has never been a better time to build something.

New technologies are lowering barriers, small teams are accomplishing incredible things, and innovation is happening in every corner of the world.

We're excited to build a platform that celebrates that creativity and helps more people discover the startups shaping the future.

If you're building something, cheering on founders, investing in innovation, or simply curious about what's next, I hope you'll join us on this journey.

We're just getting started.
