1. Who we are

StartupBoost("we," "us," or "our") operates www.startupboost.io, a public pay-to-rank leaderboard for startups. Contact us at contact@startupboost.io.

2. No refunds — please read before paying

All payments on StartupBoost are final. We do not issue refunds, partial refunds, credits, or cancellations for any reason. A bid is delivered the instant it settles: your listing is published and your rank becomes publicly visible. There is nothing to return, so there is nothing to refund.

Specifically, and without limitation, we do not refund because:

  • someone outbid you and your rank dropped — this is how the leaderboard works, and ranks are never guaranteed to last;
  • your listing received fewer clicks, signups, or customers than you hoped;
  • you bid more than you meant to, or bid twice;
  • you changed your mind, or no longer want to be listed;
  • you removed your listing, or we removed it for breaching our Terms.

By paying, you confirm you have read this section and agree that your payment is non-refundable. If you are not comfortable with that, do not pay. Full detail is on our no-refund policy page.

Nothing here removes rights you have under law that cannot be waived. If mandatory consumer law in your country gives you a refund right, that law applies.

3. Information we collect

We collect:

  • Listing details: product name, description, website, and the country you select. These are public by design.
  • Contact email: stored so we can reach you about your listing. We do not send marketing email, and we currently send no automated email at all.
  • Payment records: the amount you bid, the payment and checkout identifiers returned by our payment processor, and whether the payment succeeded. We never see or store your card details.
  • Usage data: pages visited, outbound clicks on listings, an anonymous browser id stored locally for total / daily / online counts, browser and device information, and aggregate analytics. We do not store your IP address for these counts.
  • Communications: messages you send us by email.

4. How we use your information

  • Publish and rank your listing on the leaderboard
  • Take payment and keep a record of it
  • Count outbound clicks and show listing statistics
  • Show aggregate visitor totals (all-time, today, and currently online)
  • Respond to support requests
  • Protect against spam, fraud, abuse, and security threats

5. Payments and sharing

Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as merchant of record and handles card data, tax, and invoicing. Your email and billing details are handled under their privacy policy. We also use service providers to host the site, store data, and measure traffic — only as needed to operate StartupBoost. We do not sell your personal information.

6. Retention

Public listing information stays up while the listing is live. Payment records are kept as long as we need them for accounting, tax, and dispute purposes. You can ask us to remove your contact email once your listing is retired.

7. Your choices

Email contact@startupboost.io to request access, correction, or deletion of your information, or to take your listing down. Note that taking a listing down does not entitle you to a refund of what you have already paid.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest revision.
